Christmas wishes from London

This year has been a tough one in the markets. When the going gets tough, the tough get going – and we’ve seen that in so many ways.

As you’ll see in this video that I posted from London earlier today,  I thought You Should Know that three separate groups of people deserve to be singled out as we close off 2023.

1. Our public company CEO clients deserve a tremendous thumbs-up and thank-you for their hard work and effort over the past year. Each and every CEO that we took out across Canada or in the UK and Europe dug deep and worked diligently to clearly lay out their plans, grow their businesses, raise funds and keep moving ahead despite the strong headwinds in the markets. It’s not easy to do, and it’s not for the faint-hearted. But here’s the upside – when things turn, as they always do, those companies that worked the hardest in the tough markets to keep their stories front and centre are always the ones who lead the way when the tide turns.

2. Our network of family offices and Investment Advisors in the UK, in Europe and across Canada were unfailingly open to us, were attentive to our stories, and provided honest and constructive feedback each and every time we were in front of them. We’re so very grateful for your trust and your kindness in letting us into your offices or accepting our invitations to come out to our meetings. Thank you so very, very much.

3. The Peterson Capital team were rock stars this year – working hard, adapting to change, digging deep and keeping our strong and trusting relationships with every one we work with.

Greg Stumph, in Edmonton, first and foremost deserves particular thanks for playing so many key roles as our president & COO, supporting me in so many ways and being there each and every day for me and for everyone on our team. Angela Guignion carries such a heavy load for all of us as head of operations, along with Sid Arikari on his social media and website support efforts. Alexis de la Renaudiere took on the role as Managing Director of our VPs and has excelled in that role. Bob Mawhinney in Vancouver, Rachael Singh in Toronto and David Kean in Halifax provided hugely efficient support for our clients from coast-to-coast and worked hard on behalf of our Investment Advisor network.

And in Europe, Robert Seguin again anchored our efforts in his usual thorough and professional manner while Nicole Loghin added her usual enthusiasm, sparkle and professionalism to each and every road show she led for us. And in London, Peter Cowan quickly developed a deep and strong network of Ultra High Net Worth family offices and investors there, and in Madrid, who all offered our clients tremendous value and insight with every visit.

From all of us to all of you, thanking you for your interest and support, best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
