HOW YOU CAN HELP OUR FRIENDS IN BC
We thought You Should Know, if you haven’t heard by now, that a provincial state of emergency was called yesterday by the BC government following devastating rainfall, flooding and landslides in the province.
Every single one of us at Peterson Capital is directly affected, as many of you are, by this disaster. We have hundreds of IA friends, clients, capital markets colleagues and family members in BC.
Images of submerged cars, trapped animals, stranded seniors and entire town evacuations add a tragic and human perspective against a hellish backdrop of washed out railway tracks, bridges, roads and farmland.
We’d like to help in any way we can. Here’s how we’ll do it and how you can help us:
We would like to send $1,000 on behalf of everyone on our platform to a family, cause, group or support organization that’s on the front lines of this emergency.
If you know of someone who could use this help or if you’d like to join in our effort, please connect directly with our Vancouver-based VP, Amy Hoey.
Amy will field any requests that come in, and we’ll then huddle with our team and see how best we can help.
Amy will simply take note of your pledge, and then connect with you once we know where the funds will go so you can send directly, if you’d like.
We’ll report back to everyone next Thursday with an update on how this is gone, and who we’ve helped.
