Kiwetinohk - Leaders In The Field And In The Community
In case you missed it; we thought You Should Know that Kiwetinohk Energy’s CEO, Pat Carlson was recently highlighted as a top oil and gas executive during a BNN interview last week.
Pat discusses Kiwetinohk and the progress that the company is making towards its goals and an update on its power projects including upstream goals in the next year. A link to the video interview can be found here.
Jakub Brogowski, CFO and Mike Backus, COO Upstream, also participated in the Peters & Co. 27th Annual Energy Conference which ran from September 12th to 14th, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario.
The key message they received from investors at the conference - it was very interesting to hear a differentiated business plan for a profitable energy transition and ability to deliver future growth with reductions in scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
The market is continuing to see robust West Texas Intermediate (WTI) prices of ~US$90.00 and we are seeing some of the highest pricing levels since November 2022.
Recently announced oil supply cuts by Saudi Arabia and Russia are creating expectations of a tighter supply outlook for the rest of 2023 and offsetting concerns around weaker economic growth and rising U.S. inventories
Kiwetinohk is already starting to see the benefits of this higher WTI pricing
Is resulting in a high peer netback of $31.12 per boe pre hedging through June 30, 2023
Has one of the highest liquid’s percentage in its peer group at 42% through June 30, 2023.
Mark your calendar: Kiwetinohk plans to release its Q3 2023 financial and operating results on November 8, 2023 and host its investor conference call at 8am MST on November 9, 2023.
On September 20th I was thrilled to participate with the Kiwetinohk Energy team at an event with various industry partners to support the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, a community that experienced great loss and hardship due to the wildfires this season.
In the picture below you’ll see I joined a group at Elbow Springs Golf Course in Calgary along with Pat Carlson and Chief Sheldon Sunshine. The event raised approximately $500,000 in support of the Sturgeon Lake Wildfire Evacuees to assist with the personal financial burdens the wildfire caused their evacuees. Well done, Kiwetinohk!
Kiwetinohk, pronounced Key-Wheat-In-oh, means “north” in Cree, the most widely spoken Indigenous language in Canada.
Thanks for your continued interest and support.
