T’WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS AT PETERSON CAPITAL
We thought You Should Know that we received this anonymous poem yesterday that’s dedicated to all the Investment Advisors across Canada who we’ve worked with over the past year.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we have, and want to pass along our very best to you for a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Healthy New Year!

Night Before Christmas
Dedicated to our Investment Advisor friends

T’was the night before Christmas in the Peterson Capital house,
Our last Zoom call just ended, with the click of a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
One for each IA, more than a 1,000 were there.
Our team members were nestled, all snug in their beds,
With visions of Red Bulls still dancing in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Were just settling in for a 2021 year-end recap.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed, to see what was the matter.
I fired up my laptop, opened Windows like a flash
Thinking my Bitcoin account was again going to crash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When what with my wondering eyes should I see,
But a miniature sleigh with our eight Peterson Capital VPs
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Rick.
More rapid than eagles his team members they came
As he gave them a shout-out and called them by name;
“Now, Adam! Now, Nicole! Now, Doug and Amy!"
“On David! On Dan! On, Alexis and Amie!"
“From coast-to-coast and in Paris, and to the top of the wall!"
“You all rock, you’re the best, the very best of them all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top our eight VPs they flew,
With a sleigh full of toys and maybe a bottle or two.
And there, in the night, I saw with my own eyes,
All eight VPs together as they prepared a surprise
For each Investment Advisor that they’d worked with all year,
They wrote this short letter full of true Christmas cheer.
“We’re so very grateful and thankful, that over this past year"
“You’ve been so kind and generous to lend us your ear."
“Through a pandemic and lockdowns that have tested us all,
You’ve been warm and receptive every time that we call."
“We’ve done 1,300 Zoom calls this year, more than 5 meetings per day;
With 38 clients who are all blown away
By your skill and your vision and your clear market smarts,
Way better than analysts and their sum-of-the-parts"
“Your feedback and suggestions for each CEO
Make them better and stronger, that’s something they know.
At the end of the day, we all know and we care,
That The Power of Retail is found in the trust that we share."
“So on behalf of our team, we can’t thank you enough,
For your support this past year, which at times has been tough,
We wish you good health, for your family and you,
And looking forward to enjoying a great 2022!”
They sprang to their sleigh, and drove off in the skies
So amazing it was, I could hardly believe my own eyes
But I heard them exclaim, as they drove out of sight,
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays To All, And To All A Good-Night!
